Under 18? You do not have to handle this alone: our under-18 page lists free, confidential help.

2. Report each message and profile in the app

  • A message: right-click (desktop) or long-press (mobile), then Report Message. Pick the closest category, then give details on the next screen.
  • A profile: open the profile, tap the three-dot menu, then Report User Profile. You can say which parts are the problem (avatar, banner, name, bio).

Discord's Community Guidelines ban sharing sexual content of an adult without their explicit consent, AI-generated images included (guideline 10), sharing someone's personal information without consent (guideline 3), and impersonating someone (guideline 18). Discord says it does not share your identity with the account you report, unless the law requires it. You need to see a message to report it in the app: if you are not in the server, someone you trust who is can do it, or use the web form below.

3. Discord's web form: discord.com/report

Discord runs a browser form for intimate images shared without consent. Since May 19, 2026, anyone in the United States can use it under the TAKE IT DOWN Act, with or without a Discord account; the Act requires covered platforms to remove valid requests within 48 hours. Discord also points people in the UK to it under the Online Safety Act. It asks for your legal name, email, country, the link to each piece of content and how you relate to the person shown (yourself, or a parent, guardian or attorney representing you). It covers attachments, links and embeds, avatars, banners and server images. Discord says your report stays confidential and the uploader will not be told who you are.

In the EU, the same form handles reports of illegal content under the Digital Services Act (Article 16), such as leaked personal details or impersonation. Our takedown request template gives you the wording. Discord warns that too many reports in a short time can be rejected: group your links and wait 24 hours between batches.

If you took the photos yourself (selfies, creator content), you can also send a DMCA notice through Discord's copyright form or to copyright@discord.com. Be aware: Discord says it may pass your name to the account holder.

4. A whole server exists to share your images

Discord's guides cover reporting messages and profiles; they do not describe a single button to report "the whole server". Discord does say it may act against accounts in servers dedicated to sharing intimate images. So report several messages and explain in the form that the entire server exists for this, with its Server ID and invite link.

You can also message the server's moderators or owner, unless they are the ones sharing: they can delete messages and ban the poster. Do not rely on that alone, and save evidence first.

5. A fake account in your name, or your private info

  • Impersonation: report the profile (section 2) and choose impersonation. Warn your contacts that the account is not you. General steps are in fake profile: what to do.
  • Your address, phone number or real name posted: report each message as personal information. If you feel in danger, call the police right away.
  • Your everyday photos reused: see someone is using my photos.

6. Report it to the police

  • United States: report to your local police. If someone demands money or more images, report it to the FBI at IC3.gov. The Cyber Civil Rights Initiative runs a crisis helpline for victims of image abuse.
  • United Kingdom: call 101, or 999 in an emergency. The Revenge Porn Helpline supports adults in the UK and helps with removal.
  • European Union: report to your national police. You can complain to your country's Digital Services Coordinator if Discord ignores its DSA duties (Article 53 DSA).

Only investigators can get identifying information about the poster from Discord, so include every link and ID in your report.

7. Stop the spread outside Discord

  • StopNCII.org creates a fingerprint of the image on your own device (the image never leaves it), which partner platforms use to block uploads. Discord is not a StopNCII partner (list checked in October 2026): it protects Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Reddit, X, Snapchat and the others, not Discord.
  • Other sites: images often move from Discord to Telegram, forums and leak sites. See photos on Telegram and our leak guide. If the image is fake, see fake nude deepfake.

8. What the law says

In the US, the TAKE IT DOWN Act makes it a federal crime to knowingly publish non-consensual intimate images, real or AI-generated, and most states have their own laws. In England and Wales, sharing or threatening to share an intimate image without consent is an offence (Sexual Offences Act 2003, section 66B), including images that only appear to show you. Impersonation and doxxing can also fall under harassment, stalking or fraud laws depending on where you live. This page is general information, not legal advice: for your own case, talk to a lawyer.

Get your photos removed from Discord and beyond

If you do not want to see these images again or keep checking servers yourself, our service to remove leaked content handles it: we look for copies on Discord and elsewhere, report them on the right grounds, follow up, and watch for new copies: an automated check every day, a full check-up of your online presence every week. For an impersonation account, see fake profile removal. A person checks every request before it is sent. We cannot promise removal from a private server: a police report is still needed for that. FAQ

How do I report a Discord server?
Report several messages in the app ("Report Message"), then use discord.com/report and explain that the whole server exists to share your images, with its Server ID and invite link.
Can I report without being in the server or having an account?
In-app reports need you to see the message. In the US, the TAKE IT DOWN form works without a Discord account. Otherwise, someone you trust in the server can report for you.
Will Discord tell the poster it was me?
For abuse and intimate image reports, Discord says it does not share your identity unless legally required. A DMCA notice is different: your name may be passed on.
The message was deleted. Is my evidence gone?
Not if you kept the link, the IDs and a screenshot. Give them to the police: investigators can ask Discord for records.
Does StopNCII work on Discord?
No. Discord is not a partner. It still helps block copies on Instagram, TikTok, Reddit or X.
