Report copyright infringement

Your photos, videos, music, writing or courses copied and shared without permission? Here is where to report them on each platform, or let us file the takedowns and keep watch.

Where to report copyright infringement

Before you report, have ready:

  • the exact address (URL) of every copy;
  • proof that you are the author: the original file, the date of first publication, a link to your original post;
  • your contact details (some platforms pass them on to the person reported);
  • a statement in good faith that the information is accurate.

What is copyright infringement?

The creator of an original work (photo, video, music, text, drawing, course, software) holds exclusive rights over it from the moment it is created. Reproducing, posting or distributing that work without permission is infringement, whether it is done to resell it, to drive traffic or simply to share it.

Frequently asked questions

How do I report copyright infringement?
Use each platform's copyright form (see the links above), with the address of the copy, proof of your rights and your contact details.
Do I need to register my work to be protected?
No. In Berne Convention countries, protection comes from creation itself. Keeping your original files and publication dates is usually enough to prove you came first. In the US, registration is only needed before you sue.
What is a DMCA notice?
A takedown request under US law, used by most major platforms and Google. Creators anywhere in the world can use it. See the glossary.
How long does a takedown take?
Often a few days on major platforms. Independent sites need more follow-up.
How much does the service cost?
One subscription with unlimited takedown requests: €99 a month with no commitment, €499 for 6 months or €899 for 12 months.
Do I need a lawyer?
Not to get a copy taken down: a well-written notice is enough. A lawyer is useful to claim damages or pursue the infringer.
